Catriona Armstrong – Biography
Catriona Armstrong is the Manager, Market Development, for the Expanding Markets Opportunities Program within Natural Resources Canada’s Canadian Forest Service. Catriona joined Natural Resources Canada in 2002, and since that time has held a number of positions supporting the competitiveness of the Canadian forest sector. Former roles include managing the design, development, and delivery of the Investments in Forest Industry Transformation (IFIT) Program, a $100M program funding innovation and product diversification in Canada’s forest products sector. She was also responsible for the Value to Wood program, supporting R&D and technology transfer for the secondary wood products manufacturing sector. Ms. Armstrong has a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from the University of New Brunswick, and a Master of Science from the College of Forestry at Oregon State University. She was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012 for dedication to excellence at Natural Resources Canada.
